Gastonia
Multi-Purpose Stadium Survey

The City of Gastonia is considering the merits of the development of a multi-purpose stadium near the Loray Mill Loft Apartments as part of the City’s Franklin Urban Sports & Entertainment District (FUSE).  The ballpark would serve as host to the Gastonia Grizzlies, a collegiate summer league baseball team that would play 30 home games between May and August.  A variety of other events including concerts, high school baseball games, youth sports and community events could be hosted in the new stadium.

In communities across the country, similar developments have been used as a catalyst to drive economic development, support local businesses, provide residents and visitors with affordable entertainment options and generate community exposure through coverage in various media forums.

The City of Gastonia has hired a third-party consultant to conduct an independent study to determine the feasibility of a multi-purpose stadium and associated ancillary development in Gastonia.   As an initial step in this process, the consultant is seeking input from area residents, businesses and visitors to determine interest and support for the Gastonia Grizzlies and a multi-purpose stadium in Gastonia.  Please take 5 to 10 minutes to complete this survey.  Your input is an important part of this process.
