Dothan Ballpark Survey

Community leaders are considering the merits of the development of a multi-purpose stadium to host minor league, collegiate and high school baseball games, other sports, concerts and community events in the Dothan area.

In many communities across the country, minor league ballpark developments have been used as a catalyst to drive economic development, support local businesses, provide residents and visitors with affordable entertainment options and generate community exposure through coverage in various media forums.

The Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau has hired a consulting team to conduct an independent study to determine the feasibility of minor league baseball and associated ballpark development in the Dothan area.   As a step in this process, the consulting team is seeking input from area residents, businesses and visitors to determine interest and support for minor league baseball in Dothan.  Please take 5 to 10 minutes to complete this survey.  Your input is an important part of this process.

Stadium premium seating opportunities could include luxury suites.  Luxury suites would be located in prime locations and offer private seating for up to 16 to 20 people with access to a private, climate controlled lounge with upscale food and beverage service.  Typical luxury suites prices at other minor league ballparks range from $20,000 to $30,000 per year, including baseball tickets.  Suite holders would have the first right of refusal to buy tickets to other ballpark events (i.e. concerts, etc.).

A new Dothan ballpark could include club seats which typically located in prime areas in the seating bowl in the first several rows behind home plate and offer fans larger seats with more leg room and private access to an indoor, climate-controlled club with views of the field, restrooms and upscale food and beverage service.   Typical club seat prices at other minor league ballparks range from $1,000 to $1,500 per seat for a full baseball season (about $14 to $21 per seat).  Club seat holders would have the first right of refusal to buy tickets to other ballpark events (i.e. concerts, etc.).
